Eugénie Coton Brass Band gives a new birth to the brass bands traditions through its compositons. Its name comes from Eugénie Cotton, a french chimist who marked the interwar years : she was a great chemist, a humanist and she committed herself for the women rights.
The brass band claims also this open-mindedness and women are the ones who call the tune !
It’s about a travelling musical show with possible parade and interaction with the audience thanks to Rafaële Arditti, clown and trumpet player who leads the band.
More than a simple brass band, Eugénie Coton offers a real sound trip, with compositions inspired by traditionnals themes from India, Turkey, Bulgaria, Africa or South America.
